Rampart Construction's managing members have been operating in the Charleston area since 1997. As specialists in new construction and renovation with an emphasis on Sustainable Building Solutions, the professionals at Rampart understand that a project can be much more than a budget and a schedule.
With a team of dedicated craftsmen and subcontractors, Rampart delivers expert workmanship and peace of mind. In addition to their experienced trade contractors, Rampart provides clients with a trusted network of real estate professionals, engineers, architects and designers. Rampart strives to provide clients with comprehensive “one-stop shopping” for their project.
Over the years Rampart Construction has built its reputation by building relationships with clients, tradesmen and the community. As a recent barrier island homeowner put it, “Working with Rampart was my first ‘build from scratch’ experience and it was great. They built a great house in less than the contract time. Everyone says that never happens, but with these guys it did.”
Rampart Construction is setting the tone in South Carolina when it comes to 'green' building, being the only Gold Certified Project in our area under the National Green Building Standard adopted earlier this year.

Q: Can you promise a completion date?
A: Yes. We include a completion date in every contract, and we stick to it.
Q: Do you give free estimates?
A: We’re happy to consult with you on your project, and provide a general estimate free of charge. For a small retainer, we also can provide a thorough, line item fixed price estimate, completely customized for your specific plans.
Q: What’s the typical cost per square foot?
A: This varies greatly depending on scope of the project, and can range from $150 to $500 per heated square foot.
Q: What do I need to know before building on a barrier island?
A: Most importantly, you should choose an experienced team to work with; a team that understands the unique environment and particular challenges of building on a barrier island.
Q: How will we communicate during the construction process?
A: You will have daily job supervision from our project supervisor, as well as scheduled weekly meetings. During construction, we encourage our clients to write down any questions and/or concerns they may have and provide a written copy to the project supervisor. This will allow the project supervisor to address those question and or concerns.
Q: What is the first step in the home building process?
A: The first step in building a successful home is selecting a team of professionals to guide you through the process. Your homebuilding team should include everyone you'll need to complete the project. Carefully choosing your builder, architect, loan officer, real estate agent, interior designer, landscape architect and other team members up front will not only make your building experience a more enjoyable one; it will save you money.
Q: How does Rampart Construction, LLC ensure my home and property is secure during construction?
A: We assign each job a project supervisor. The project supervisor helps ensure timely completion, quality of work, jobsite security and construction cost management.
